The MASTERLOCK 4696EURDBLK TSA combination padlock is a reliable security solution designed specifically for travelers. This black padlock features a resettable combination mechanism, allowing users to set their own unique code for easy access without the need for keys. Its design is fully accepted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), enabling airport security personnel to open, inspect, and relock luggage using specialized tools without causing damage to the lock or the suitcase.

Advantages

This padlock offers significant convenience and peace of mind for international travelers. The resettable combination feature eliminates the risk of losing keys while traveling. Its robust construction ensures that your belongings remain secure throughout transit. Because it is TSA-recognized, it prevents the potential destruction of your lock during mandatory security screenings at airports, ensuring that your luggage remains protected while complying with international travel regulations.

Suitable for

• Securing suitcases and travel bags
• International air travel
• Protecting personal belongings in lockers
• Backpacks and duffel bags

When it may not be suitable

This lock is designed primarily for luggage and travel security and may not provide sufficient protection for high-value items or outdoor equipment that requires heavy-duty security measures. It is not intended for securing gates, sheds, or industrial equipment where a hardened steel shackle or a more complex locking mechanism would be necessary.

Key specifications

• Resettable combination mechanism
• TSA-accepted design
• Durable construction
• Compact size for various zipper pulls
• Color: Black

How to use

To set your personal combination, start with the factory default code. Pull up the shackle and rotate it 90 degrees counter-clockwise, pressing it down into the body. While holding it down, set your desired combination by rotating the dials. Once the code is set, pull the shackle back up to the original position and rotate it back to lock the mechanism. Always ensure the dials are scrambled after locking to maintain security.

What to consider before purchase

• Check if the shackle size fits your specific luggage zipper pulls
• Ensure you memorize your chosen combination as there is no override key
• Verify if your travel destination requires TSA-compliant locks

Usage recommendations: Regularly check the combination dials for debris and ensure the mechanism moves smoothly. Avoid forcing the dials if they become stiff and keep the lock clean to maintain optimal performance during your travels.
