Master Lock Elite Padlock 52mm with 64mm Shackle and 5-Pin Cylinder

The Master Lock Elite padlock is a high-security locking solution featuring a 52mm wide body and an extended 64mm shackle. Engineered for reliability, this padlock incorporates a 5-pin cylinder mechanism that provides increased resistance against picking and unauthorized access. Its robust construction ensures consistent performance, making it a dependable choice for securing valuable assets in both residential and industrial settings.

Advantages

The primary benefit of this padlock lies in its durable design and high-security cylinder, which work together to deter tampering. The extended shackle length offers greater versatility when securing items with thicker frames or hard-to-reach locking points. Furthermore, the materials used in its construction are selected for long-term resilience against environmental wear, ensuring that the locking mechanism remains functional over extended periods of use.

Suitable for

• Securing gates and fences
• Locking storage units and sheds
• Protecting industrial equipment
• Securing chains and hasps

When it may not be suitable

This padlock may not be the ideal choice for applications requiring extreme weatherproofing, such as marine environments where constant exposure to salt water could accelerate corrosion. Additionally, it is not intended for high-security commercial vaults or areas where specialized heavy-duty bolt cutters might be used, as no padlock can guarantee absolute immunity against determined physical attacks.

How to use

To use the padlock, insert the provided key into the cylinder and turn it to retract the locking mechanism. Once the shackle is released, pass it through the desired locking point or hasp. Push the shackle back into the padlock body until it clicks securely into place. To lock, ensure the shackle is fully engaged and remove the key. Always verify that the lock is properly seated before leaving the area.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure the required shackle clearance for your specific application
• Verify the compatibility of the shackle diameter with your hasp or chain
• Consider the environment where the lock will be used

Usage recommendations

Regularly lubricate the cylinder with a silicone-based spray to maintain smooth operation and prevent debris buildup. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they may attract dust and grit over time.
