SMART CARD READER powered by USB with compact ABS housing. The reader supports contact smart cards including memory and CPU cards, complies with ISO7816 standards and EMV L1 certification, and connects via USB 2.0 (Full Speed). It is compatible with major desktop and embedded operating systems and offers low power consumption and durable card insertion cycles.
The smart card reader supports both T=0 and T=1 protocols and offers CCID and PC/SC driver standards for broad software compatibility. It includes SDK support (PC/SC, CT-API and proprietary API) for easy integration, dual LED indicators for status, and a 120 cm USB A cable for convenient placement. The ABS housing and up to 200,000 card cycles provide reliable durability.
Connect the smart card reader to a host using the USB A cable. Install the appropriate driver or allow the operating system to load the CCID/PCSC driver automatically. Insert a contact smart card into the reader with the chip facing the contact pins; the LED indicators will show status. Use the provided SDK or standard PC/SC APIs to communicate with the card at up to 115,200 bps. Power is supplied by the USB port (5 V). Follow the host OS instructions for safe removal before unplugging.
Use compatible ISO7816 contact cards and keep the card contacts clean. Avoid exposing the reader to temperatures outside the specified operating and storage ranges. For integration, test the provided SDK with your target OS and confirm driver availability for legacy systems.
