Online UPS ROLINE ProSecure II 700 RM2U
The ROLINE ProSecure II 700 RM2U is an online double-conversion UPS designed for 19" rack installation, providing continuous, regulated power for servers and essential computer systems. With a nominal output voltage of 230 V and an efficiency of approximately 95%, the unit offers pure sine-wave output (THD < 3%) and compact dimensions (88 x 428 x 425 mm), making it suitable for space-constrained rack environments. The front LCD provides status and battery remaining time information; unit weight is 16 kg.
This UPS uses true online double-conversion technology to isolate connected equipment from input power problems such as outages, sags, surges, under- and over-voltage, frequency variation and harmonic distortion. It features power factor correction, advanced battery management (ABM), hot-swappable batteries, rechargeable battery charging while the UPS is off, and selectable high-efficiency and fan-speed auto-control modes. Communication options include USB and RS-232 ports and management software for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. An LCD front panel supports multiple languages and displays diagnostics and battery status.
Install the UPS in a standard 19" rack using appropriate mounting hardware. Connect the UPS to mains power and allow the unit to charge the internal batteries before attaching critical loads. Use the front LCD to monitor input/output status and battery remaining time. For extended runtime, connect compatible external battery packs. Configure communication and automatic shutdown using the supplied UPS management software via USB or RS-232. Replace batteries when the battery-replacement warning is displayed; batteries are hot-swappable to minimise downtime.
Place the UPS in a ventilated rack space with ambient temperature within the manufacturer's specified range, avoid exposure to direct heat sources or moisture, and use surge-protected network/modem connections. Regularly test automatic diagnostics and perform battery checks; keep management software updated for reliable monitoring and graceful shutdown procedures.
