3M™ Organic Vapour Filter 6055 is a replacement gas and vapour cartridge for compatible 3M reusable masks in the 6000, 6500 and 7000 series. It provides A2-class protection against many organic gases and vapours such as solvent‑based paints, adhesives and cleaning detergents. The cartridges are lightweight, low resistance to breathing and have a trapezoidal shape that helps maintain a good field of vision. There are no natural rubber latex components.

Advantages

The 6055 cartridges use active carbon to extend service time and offer medium-capacity adsorption for organic vapours (filtration class A2). Their low breathing resistance and balanced design make them comfortable for extended wear, and the unique trapezoidal shape improves the user’s field of view. They are tested and approved to relevant European standards and are compatible with 3M eyewear and hearing protection.

When it may not be suitable

These cartridges are intended for protection against organic gases and vapours and are classified A2 (medium capacity). They are not suitable for protection against inorganic gases, acid gases, ammonia, particulates or oxygen-deficient atmospheres. They should not be used without a compatible 3M mask or when workplace hazards exceed the cartridge’s rated capacity.
