PVC Adhesive Tape 3M 764G5033 — green, 50 mm × 33 m

PVC adhesive tape 3M 764G5033 in green, 50 mm × 33 m is a single-sided PVC electrical and insulating tape designed for wrapping, color coding and basic protection of cables, joints and connectors. The tape delivers consistent width and length for installation tasks, maintenance and marking, and is suitable for both professional electricians and DIY users. Its green colour allows clear identification in multi-conductor bundles and for visual marking of circuits or areas.

Advantages

This PVC adhesive tape offers reliable electrical insulation properties and conformability on irregular surfaces. The pressure-sensitive adhesive provides good initial tack and stable adhesion on common insulating materials, enabling quick application without special tools. The tape resists stretching and retains its dimensions over time, ensuring neat wraps and consistent marking. Its roll format and standardized width make it convenient for repetitive tasks and on-site repairs.

Suitable for

• Insulating and wrapping electrical cables and splices
• Color coding wiring looms, control panels and cable bundles
• Temporary protection of connectors and terminals
• Small maintenance and repair jobs in workshops and on-site

Key specifications

• Material: PVC backing with pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Color: green
• Width: 50 mm
• Length: 33 m per roll
• Single-sided adhesive
• Designed for electrical insulation and color marking

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil or dust before application. Measure the required length and start wrapping from the fixed end of the cable or joint, stretching slightly if necessary to achieve a tight, overlap wrap. Overlap each turn by approximately 30–50% of the tape width to ensure full coverage and consistent insulation. For color coding, apply a clear, visible wrap around the cable at a convenient point. Cut the tape with scissors or a knife and press the end firmly to secure adhesion.

Usage recommendations

Use this tape for general insulation and identification tasks at temperatures within typical indoor working ranges. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve adhesive properties. For high-voltage, outdoor or long-term buried applications, consult product specifications and consider specialized insulating systems.
