ABUS CC Lock 5104 Cable Lock 1800 mm

The ABUS CC Lock 5104 is a high-quality cable lock engineered to provide reliable security for bicycles in various urban settings. With a generous length of 1800 mm, this lock offers the flexibility needed to secure your bike to fixed objects such as lamp posts, bike racks, or railings with ease. Its lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for daily commuters who require a balance between portability and effective theft protection.

Advantages

This cable lock stands out due to its robust construction and user-friendly design. The high-quality steel cable is protected by a durable synthetic coating that prevents scratches to the bicycle frame during use. Its significant length allows for versatile locking configurations, making it easier to secure multiple parts of the bike or larger frames. The lock is designed for quick and intuitive operation, ensuring that securing your bicycle is a fast and hassle-free process during your daily routine.

Suitable for

• Securing bicycles in low to medium risk areas
• Commuting and daily urban cycling
• Locking bikes to street furniture or bike racks
• Temporary security for short stops

This lock may not be suitable for high-risk areas where professional theft tools are likely to be used, as cable locks generally offer lower resistance compared to heavy-duty U-locks or chain locks. It is also not recommended for securing high-value bicycles for extended periods in unattended public spaces.

What to consider before purchase

• Assess the security level required for your specific parking location
• Check if the 1800 mm length is sufficient for your locking needs

For optimal security, always try to lock your bicycle frame and at least one wheel to a solid, immovable object. Regularly inspect the locking mechanism and keep it clean to ensure smooth operation over time.
