ABUS Bordo uGrip 5700K/80 LM SH Folding Bicycle Lock Yellow 800 mm Hardened Steel 830 g 2 Keys

The ABUS Bordo uGrip 5700K/80 LM SH Folding Bicycle Lock in yellow provides reliable mechanical security for bicycles and similar transport means. Manufactured from hardened steel links, this folding lock combines robust security with a compact, flexible design for everyday urban and recreational use.

Advantages

The construction utilizes specially hardened steel links designed to withstand standard manual break-in attempts. Its folding architecture allows the lock to collapse into a compact transport shape, minimizing space requirements on the bicycle frame. The bright yellow finish increases visual visibility, serving as an effective deterrent against opportunistic theft. Additionally, the included SH mount provides a convenient transport solution directly on the bike frame without needing a backpack.

Suitable for

• Securing city bikes and commuters in urban areas
• Locking bicycles to fixed objects such as bike racks or poles
• Recreational cycling trips with frequent stops
• Transporting the lock directly on the bicycle frame via the included mount

When it may not be suitable

This folding lock is not recommended for high-risk theft locations or securing high-value bicycles for extended overnight periods, where heavier-duty security chains or U-locks are typically required. It may also fall short if an exceptionally long locking reach is needed to anchor around thick architectural pillars or multiple bikes simultaneously.

Key specifications

• Type: Folding bicycle lock
• Material: Hardened steel
• Length: 800 mm
• Weight: 830 g

How to use

To secure the bicycle, release the lock from the transport bracket mounted on the frame and unfold the steel links to their full length. What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 800 mm length is sufficient for your typical locking setups
• Assess your local security requirements to ensure this security level matches your risk environment
• Check frame mounting compatibility for the included SH bracket

Usage recommendations: Regularly clean and lubricate the lock cylinder with a suitable maintenance spray to ensure smooth key operation and prevent dust accumulation over time.
