ACO Drainage Box with Galvanized Steel Grate 0.5 M 3003696

The ACO Drainage Box with Galvanized Steel Grate 0.5 M is a high-quality surface water management solution engineered for effective drainage in various residential and commercial areas. Measuring 0.5 meters in length, this drainage unit combines a robust body with a durable galvanized steel grate to ensure reliable performance, optimal water collection, and long-lasting structural integrity under regular use.

Advantages

This drainage box provides exceptional durability thanks to its combination of a resilient channel body and a corrosion-resistant galvanized steel grate. It is designed to handle surface water efficiently, preventing accumulation in critical outdoor zones. The materials used offer dependable resistance to weathering and daily wear, while the design facilitates straightforward maintenance and routine cleaning to keep the drainage system functioning smoothly over time.

Suitable for

• Pedestrian pathways and walkways
• Driveways and residential parking areas
• Patios, gardens, and courtyards
• Threshold drainage near building entrances

When it may not be suitable

This drainage box is not designed to withstand high-load traffic areas such as heavy commercial vehicle depots, industrial loading docks, or public roads carrying frequent heavy transport. For locations subject to continuous high-tonnage vehicle loads, heavier-duty industrial drainage systems should be considered instead.

Key specifications

• Product type: Drainage box with grate
• Length: 0.5 meters
• Grate material: Galvanized steel
• Application: Surface water management

How to use

Installation requires preparing a stable trench according to local civil and landscaping guidelines, ensuring proper alignment with the desired slope for effective water flow. The drainage box should be firmly embedded in a concrete base or compacted foundation to secure its position and prevent shifting under load. Once installed, the removable galvanized steel grate allows for quick and easy access to the internal channel for periodic removal of leaves, dirt, and debris.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the expected load requirements of your location to ensure compatibility with pedestrian and light vehicle traffic
• Assess the volume of surface water in your area to determine if a 0.5-meter length is sufficient or if multiple units are needed
• Ensure proper gradient and connection possibilities with your existing drainage outflow pipes

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect and clean the drainage channel and galvanized steel grate to prevent blockages from leaves and sediment, ensuring unobstructed water flow throughout the year.
