The ACT AC1504 Dual Docking Station provides a fast and convenient way to connect 2.5" and 3.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs externally without opening your computer. It supports USB 3.2 Gen1 for high-speed data transfer and includes the necessary USB cable and power adapter.

Advantages

The docking station supports both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives and delivers up to 5 Gbit/s over USB 3.2 Gen1 while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0. A built-in standalone cloning function lets you duplicate a source disk to a target disk without a PC, using a single button. The unit is powered via the included adapter and comes with a USB Type-A to Type-B cable for immediate use.

How to use

Insert a 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive into one of the docking slots until it seats firmly. Connect the docking station to your computer using the supplied USB cable and plug in the power adapter. The connected drive will be recognised by the operating system and can be accessed like an external drive. To clone a drive without a computer, insert the source disk and the target disk, then press the clone button and follow the device LED indicators until the process completes.

Usage recommendations

For stable cloning and data transfers, use the included power adapter and avoid removing drives during operation. Ensure the source and target drives are correctly inserted and supported by SATA standards. When connecting to a USB 2.0 port expect lower transfer speeds compared with USB 3.2 Gen1.
