The ACT AC7110 is a professional AV media extender set designed to provide seamless connectivity and high-performance video distribution. This system features a dual USB-C switch, allowing users to connect and toggle between two host devices, such as laptops, with ease. Utilizing advanced HDBaseT technology and the Valens VS6320 chipset, the set ensures reliable, lossless transmission of data, video, and power over a single Cat6a network cable for distances up to 100 meters. With integrated DisplayLink DL-6950 technology, it supports dual 4K@60Hz HDMI displays, making it an ideal solution for complex workstation setups and professional environments.
Advantages
This extender set offers unparalleled flexibility by combining video extension, data transfer, and power delivery into one streamlined system. The inclusion of 100W Power Delivery ensures that connected USB-C laptops remain charged during operation, eliminating the need for additional power adapters at the workstation. The system's ability to support dual 4K monitors via DisplayLink technology significantly enhances productivity by providing an extended desktop view across three screens. Furthermore, the Power over Cable (PoC) functionality simplifies installation by requiring only one power source for the entire setup, which is particularly beneficial in locations with limited power outlets. The integrated 6-port USB hub allows for the connection of various peripherals, such as cameras, mice, and storage devices, which are automatically accessible to the active host device.
Suitable for
- Classrooms requiring seamless switching between teacher and student devices
- Modern conference rooms with dual 4K display setups
- Control rooms needing reliable long-distance USB-C connectivity
- Professional office environments for extended desktop workstations
- Remote camera and peripheral integration for video conferencing
When it may not be suitable
The AC7110 may not be suitable for environments where high-speed, non-compressed raw video transmission is required beyond the capabilities of the DisplayLink compression standard. Additionally, it is not intended for use with non-USB-C host devices, as the primary switching functionality relies on USB-C connectivity.

How to use
To set up the system, connect your primary display devices to the HDMI ports on the receiver unit and connect your USB peripherals to the available USB-A or USB-C ports. Connect the transmitter and receiver units using a high-quality Cat6a cable. Connect your USB-C host devices to the transmitter. If using Windows, the system will generally be plug-and-play; for macOS users, ensure the latest DisplayLink driver is installed from the manufacturer's website. Once connected, use the integrated switch to toggle between your host devices. The system will automatically route the video, data, and power to the active device.
What to consider before purchase
- Ensure your network cabling meets the Cat6a standard for optimal performance over 100 meters
- Verify that your host devices support USB-C video output
- Check if your specific operating system requires the latest DisplayLink drivers
- Consider the physical space available for mounting the units using the included brackets
For the best connection quality between the transmitter and receiver, it is highly recommended to use pre-terminated Cat6a S/FTP installation cables, which are fully HDBaseT compliant and ensure stable signal integrity over the maximum distance.
