Fiber optic SC-ST simplex adapter ACT EA1036
The ACT Fiber optic SC-ST simplex adapter EA1036 enables reliable connections between SC and ST connectors in fiber optic networks. Designed for both multi-mode and single-mode fiber applications, the adapter uses standard SC and ST interfaces with blue and yellow color coding for easy identification of connector types. Supplied as a single piece, this simplex adapter provides a compact and robust coupling solution for point-to-point fiber links and patch panel terminations.
This SC-ST simplex adapter offers a stable physical connection with low insertion loss and compatibility across common fiber types. The color-coded housings simplify installation and reduce mispatching. Its compact design and robust construction support consistent performance in rack-mounted panels, wall plates, and inline couplings, while the simple mechanical interface allows quick mating and demating of fiber connectors.
Insert the adapter into a compatible panel cutout or position it inline where a simple coupling is required. Align the SC connector to the SC side until it clicks into place, then insert the ST connector into the ST side and secure it using the ST bayonet bayonet-style coupling. Verify the connection visually and, if available, confirm optical continuity and signal levels using a tester or power meter. To disconnect, release the SC connector and twist-and-pull the ST connector following the ST bayonet mechanism.
Protect fiber endfaces from dust and contamination by using protective dust caps when connectors are not mated. Clean endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before making permanent connections. Avoid bending the fiber beyond its minimum bend radius near the adapter and secure cabling to reduce mechanical strain on the coupling.
