Network junction box ACT WTM07 — Cat5e, silver, single-port enclosure
ACT WTM07 is a compact network junction box designed for Cat5e cabling in a silver finish. The single-port enclosure provides a protected point for terminating or reconnecting standard Cat5e cables and is suitable for wall or surface mounting in residential, office or small server-room environments. The unit supports LSA IDC termination and can join two cable ends, enabling extension of shielded installation cables or repair of damaged runs. Supplied as a single enclosure per pack, the box is intended to organize and protect a single network connection while maintaining signal integrity for Cat5e installations.
The enclosure offers a compact footprint and a discreet silver appearance that integrates into most interiors. Its LSA IDC termination supports reliable contact with four- and eight-core installation cables within AWG 26–22, eliminating the need for soldering or separate punch-down tools. The single-port design simplifies deployment for point-to-point connections and repair tasks, and the surface-mountable housing protects terminations from mechanical damage and dust.
Prepare the two cable ends by stripping the outer jacket to expose the individual conductors, following standard Cat5e termination practices. Insert conductors into the LSA IDC block according to the required wiring scheme and press them into place to create insulation displacement contacts. Secure the terminated cables within the enclosure and close the housing to protect the connection. Mount the box to the wall or surface using appropriate fasteners and verify continuity and signal quality with a network tester after installation.
Use the junction box with shielded Cat5e installation cables of the supported conductor sizes, and ensure correct pair alignment when inserting conductors into the LSA IDC. Avoid excessive bending at termination points and verify shielding continuity if used in a screened cable installation. Test the connection after installation to confirm performance.
