Smart Card Reader ACS ACR1281U-C2

The Smart Card Reader ACS ACR1281U-C2 is a contactless card UID reader that automatically reads the Unique Identifier (UID) of ISO 14443 Parts 1–4 Type A and B contactless cards. With a USB interface and HID-compliant behaviour, the reader returns the card UID directly to a connected PC and can output it to any editor such as Notepad, MS Excel or MS Word. It supports anti-collision so only one card is accessed when multiple cards are present and is compatible with common operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux and various embedded systems.

How to use

Connect the ACR1281U-C2 to a computer via USB and present a contactless card to the reader's sensing area. The reader will automatically detect the card, retrieve its UID and send the UID to the connected PC as keyboard input; the UID will appear in the active editor or application. If multiple cards are presented, the anti-collision feature ensures only one card is processed.

Usage recommendations
