The drive offers dust-tight and waterproof protection tested for 60 minutes at 2 meters, exceeding common IPX8 requirements. Triple-layered construction of silicone outer cover, shock-absorbing buffer and a rigid inner shell provides resistance to drops and vibrations and meets US MIL-STD-810G 516.6 drop testing.
