ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 256 GB is a compact M.2 2280 NVMe SSD that uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and 3D TLC NAND to deliver high-performance storage in a small form factor. With rated sequential read speeds up to 3500 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 1200 MB/s, this black M.2 drive is designed to accelerate boot times, reduce application load times and speed up file transfers in desktops and laptops while occupying minimal space and weighing approximately 8 g.
The drive combines NVMe 1.3 support with an ultra-fast PCIe Gen3 x4 connection to provide substantially higher sequential and random performance than typical SATA SSDs. Built-in 3D TLC NAND and technologies such as SLC caching and a DRAM cache buffer improve sustained throughput and responsiveness for everyday tasks and demanding workloads. Error correction and end-to-end data protection mechanisms help maintain data integrity and prolong drive life.
Install the SSD into an available M.2 2280 slot on a compatible motherboard or laptop, align the connector and secure the drive with the mounting screw supplied by the system. Ensure the host supports PCIe NVMe drives, then initialize, partition and format the drive in your operating system before use. For system migration, use cloning software to transfer the existing OS and data if required.
To maintain performance and longevity, keep firmware up to date using ADATA’s tools, enable AHCI/PCIe settings required by the motherboard, and avoid filling the drive to full capacity. For sustained heavy workloads, ensure sufficient cooling in the system to reduce thermal throttling.
