Agam PG42 Cable Gland 30-38mm IP67 Light Grey
The Agam PG42 cable gland is a robust solution engineered for secure cable entry and effective strain relief in various electrical enclosures. Designed to accommodate cables with a diameter ranging from 30mm to 38mm, this component ensures that electrical connections remain protected and stable within industrial or commercial environments. Its light grey finish provides a professional appearance while maintaining high functional standards for cable management.
This cable gland offers superior protection against environmental factors, featuring an IP67 ingress protection rating that guarantees complete resistance to dust ingress and protection against the effects of temporary water immersion. The design facilitates a reliable seal that prevents moisture and debris from entering sensitive electrical equipment, thereby extending the lifespan of the installation. Furthermore, the construction provides excellent strain relief, which prevents cables from being pulled out or damaged at the connection point, ensuring long-term operational safety and reliability.
This cable gland is not intended for use with cables outside the specified 30-38mm diameter range, as a proper seal cannot be guaranteed. It is also not suitable for high-pressure washdown environments or permanent underwater submersion beyond the limits defined by the IP67 rating.
To install the Agam PG42 cable gland, first ensure that the enclosure hole is of the appropriate size for the PG42 thread. Insert the gland body through the hole and secure it firmly using the provided locknut from the inside of the enclosure. Once the gland is fixed, loosen the dome nut, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut securely. This action compresses the internal seal around the cable jacket, creating a watertight and dust-tight connection while providing the necessary strain relief.
For optimal performance, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to compress the internal seal, but avoid overtightening, which could damage the plastic threads. Regularly inspect the gland for signs of wear or degradation if exposed to harsh industrial chemicals or extreme UV conditions.
