Video Signal Converter AJA ROI-HDMI

The AJA ROI-HDMI is a compact video signal converter that converts computer and HDMI outputs to baseband SDI. How to use

Connect the computer or HDMI source to the HDMI input and, if needed, connect an external monitor to the HDMI loop-through port. Attach the SDI output to your SDI infrastructure and connect the reference input if synchronous locking is required. Install and run the free Mini-Config application on a connected computer via USB to interactively select the Region of Interest, adjust scaling, aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, and choose audio routing. Once configured, the device outputs the scaled and embedded SDI signal for use in your production chain.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use the Mini-Config software to preview source and output formats and select only the needed screen area to avoid unnecessary scaling. When embedding audio, verify the selected audio source and routing in the software to maintain synchronization. Use the reference input when integrating into larger systems to ensure stable timing.
