Plumbing Elbow 90° AKA PE 25 mm with 3/4" Male Thread (PE-57-225)
AKA Plumbing Elbow 90° for 25 mm PE pipe with a 3/4" male thread is a right-angle connector designed to join polyethylene piping to threaded fittings or valves. The fitting adapts a continuous PE line to a threaded component, enabling a secure transition between plastic pipe and metal or plastic threaded devices in water supply and low-pressure plumbing systems.
This 90° elbow provides a compact change of direction with a built-in 3/4" male threaded end, allowing easy connection of taps, valves or other threaded accessories. Its design reduces stress on the piping at the elbow by providing a stable, leak-resistant interface between PE pipe and threaded components. The product is suitable for both new installations and repair work where reliable, low-pressure plumbing connections are required.
Prepare the 25 mm PE pipe by cutting squarely and deburring the end. Insert the PE pipe into the push-fit or compression side of the elbow (follow the fitting-specific assembly method), ensuring full insertion to the recommended depth. Tighten any compression nut or secure the connection according to the manufacturer's guidance, then screw the 3/4" male threaded end into the corresponding female fitting, using appropriate thread sealant or tape if required for the application. After assembly, pressurize the system and check for leaks at both the PE and threaded interfaces.
Use the elbow in systems operating within recommended low-pressure limits for PE piping. When connecting to metal fittings, apply compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male thread to help prevent leaks. Avoid exposing the fitting to prolonged direct sunlight without protection, and inspect connections after initial pressurization and periodically during service.
