Wireless microphone system AKG WMS40 Mini, black
The AKG WMS40 Mini Dual Vocal Set is a compact wireless microphone system designed for simple setup and reliable everyday use. The package includes two HT40 Mini handheld transmitters with dynamic cardioid capsules to reduce feedback and a SR40 Mini receiver with two balanced 1/4" jack outputs. Each transmitter runs up to 30 hours on a single AA battery and the receiver provides visual status indicators for power, RF link, and audio clipping. The included switched-mode power supply supports 110–240V and comes with EU, UK and US adapters.
The system delivers clear, natural vocal reproduction thanks to AKG’s HDAP (High Definition Audio Performance) technology and offers true plug-and-play operation with gain control on the receiver and compact, lightweight transmitters. Long battery life minimizes downtime and operating costs, while the receiver’s balanced outputs simplify connection to mixers and amplifiers.
Because the WMS40 Mini is a compact, entry-level system, it may not meet the requirements of large professional tours that need multi-channel coordination, advanced frequency management or studio-grade features. For setups requiring many simultaneous wireless channels or extreme RF environments, a higher-end system with channel diversity and professional frequency coordination should be considered.
Install a fresh AA battery in each handheld transmitter, connect the SR40 Mini receiver to a mixer or amplifier via the 1/4" balanced outputs, and power the receiver with the supplied SMPS adapter. Turn on the receiver and transmitters; verify the RF and audio LEDs indicate a proper link and adjust the output gain using the receiver’s volume/gain control as needed. Position the microphone capsule toward the sound source and maintain a suitable distance to avoid clipping.
Use cardioid technique by pointing the microphone capsule directly at the vocalist, keep the transmitter antenna unobstructed, and monitor the receiver LEDs during use to avoid audio clipping. For longer events, bring spare AA batteries and test the link before the performance.
