Network adapter Alantec 45x45 2xRJ45 flat panel mount OS024
Alantec 45x45 OS024 is a flat network adapter designed to provide two RJ45 Ethernet connections in a compact 45x45 mm panel format. Intended for installation in standard patch panels or wall plates, this adapter offers a space-saving solution for terminating two network lines side by side while maintaining a uniform panel appearance. The adapter supports common cabling environments where modular RJ45 ports are used for copper Ethernet links.
The flat 45x45 form factor allows easy integration into standard panels and wall keystone openings while minimizing depth behind the panel. Two adjacent RJ45 ports enable dual connections from a single module location, simplifying patching and reducing the number of separate modules required. Its consistent dimensions ensure alignment with other 45x45 modules and a neat finished installation.
Install the adapter into a compatible 45x45 panel opening or wall plate keystone slot until it snaps into place or secures with the panel’s retaining mechanism. Terminate each Ethernet cable on the back of the adapter according to the appropriate wiring standard (T568A or T568B) and verify that the contacts are fully seated. After installation, connect patch cords to the front RJ45 ports for network devices or links. Test each port with a cable tester or by linking devices to confirm proper connectivity and signal integrity.
For reliable performance, use with properly rated Ethernet cables and follow structured cabling best practices. Ensure wiring follows a consistent pair scheme (T568A or T568B) across the installation and avoid excessive cable bending behind the panel to maintain signal quality.
