Baby noise cancelling headphones Alecto BV74 — passive hearing protection for infants

Alecto BV74 are passive noise cancelling headphones specifically shaped and sized for infants to reduce harmful ambient sound levels. Designed with soft cushioning and a lightweight headband, these baby hearing protectors provide a physical barrier to loud noises without electronics or active amplification. They are intended for use in environments such as travel, crowded public events, medical visits and during sleep when loud or sudden sounds may disturb or harm sensitive infant hearing.

Advantages

The headphones combine a low-profile, ergonomic shape and soft ear cushions to ensure a secure but comfortable fit on a baby’s head. Their lightweight construction minimises pressure on delicate skulls while the passive sound attenuation reliably reduces noise across a broad frequency range. The simple, mechanical design requires no batteries or pairing, making the product easy to use and maintain. Materials are chosen to be easy to clean and to withstand repeated use.

Suitable for

• Air travel and public transport where cabin or traffic noise is present
• Live events, fireworks, fairs and crowded venues
• Hospital or clinic visits with alarms and medical equipment noise
• Sleep times in noisy environments or during daytime naps
• Home use when household appliances or construction create high noise

Key specifications

• Design: passive noise attenuation earmuffs sized for infants
• Weight: lightweight construction suitable for extended wear
• Ear cushions: soft padded cups for comfort and seal
• Headband: adjustable or flexible fit to accommodate small heads
• Noise reduction: passive sound insulation across a broad frequency range
• Materials: wipeable surfaces for easy cleaning

How to use

Place the cushioned ear cups gently over the infant’s ears and adjust the headband so the cups sit evenly and comfortably without excessive pressure. Check that the ears are fully covered by the cushions and that the headband rests securely on the head to maintain the seal. Use the headphones during exposure to loud environments and remove them when the environment is quiet or when the baby is unsupervised for long periods. Regularly inspect cushions and headband for wear and clean surfaces according to the manufacturer’s care instructions.

Usage recommendations

Use these passive baby hearing protectors as a physical means to reduce harmful noise; they do not amplify sound and are not a substitute for medical advice. Monitor fit and comfort frequently, and avoid prolonged continuous use without breaks. For concerns about an infant’s hearing or prolonged exposure to high noise levels, consult a paediatrician or audiologist.
