The ALGO 8188 is a self‑amplified SIP ceiling loudspeaker designed for voice paging, emergency notification and background music in drop ceilings. It is a third‑party SIP endpoint compatible with hosted/cloud and on‑premise VoIP systems, supports PoE (IEEE 802.3af) power and provides an 8 W two‑way output with a single driver in a white finish.

Advantages

The 8188 supports Wideband G.722 HD voice for improved speech intelligibility and Super‑Wideband response for music, delivering clear and rich audio for announcements and background music. It can send and receive multicast streams to scale across many endpoints while minimizing network traffic. The speaker includes Ambient Noise Compensation to adapt volume to local background levels and supports talkback via an onboard microphone. Multiple SIP extensions are available for paging, emergency alerting and ring functions, and alerts can play configurable WAV files from internal device memory. The unit is CSA/UL, FCC and CE certified.
