Straight Connector Alkotest MZPW2012 20x1/2" Male Thread for PEX Sigma-LI
Straight Connector Alkotest MZPW2012 20x1/2" Male Thread for PEX Sigma-LI
Alkotest MZPW2012 is a straight connector engineered for PEX Sigma-LI pipe systems to provide a secure mechanical transition between PEX tubing and threaded fittings or valves. The connector offers a 20x1/2" dimension with a male (external) thread on one end and a smooth PEX-compatible connection on the other, enabling straightforward integration into plumbing and heating circuits where a threaded interface is required.
This straight connector is made to meet the needs of PEX Sigma-LI installations by minimizing leakage risk at the PEX-to-threaded junction. Its male threaded end allows direct attachment to standard 1/2" female threaded fittings and valves, reducing the need for additional adapters. The compact straight design simplifies alignment in confined spaces and supports reliable water or heating medium flow without introducing unnecessary bends.
Prepare the PEX pipe by cutting a clean, square end and deburring the inner and outer edges. Insert the PEX end into the connector according to the Sigma-LI installation method (crimp, clamp or push-fit as applicable for the connector design) until it seats fully. Tighten the connector to the mating female threaded fitting using an appropriate wrench on the connector flats; avoid over-tightening to prevent thread damage. Verify the connection for alignment and secure mounting before pressurizing the system and perform a leak test after installation.
Use compatible Sigma-LI PEX tubing and follow the PEX system manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Ensure thread sealing on the male thread where required by the mating component (for example with appropriate PTFE tape or approved sealant) and confirm temperature and pressure ratings of the connector match application conditions.
