Pipe fitting Alkotest TW2512 three-way socket (female) PP, 25 mm x 1/2"
Alkotest TW2512 is a three-way socket made of polypropylene (PP) with female threaded connections sized 25 mm x 1/2". It is designed to connect a 25 mm pipeline to two branches with 1/2" internal threads, enabling distribution, branching and repair in potable water and general plumbing systems that use PP components. The fitting provides a compact junction point for redirecting flow or creating parallel feeds within a plumbing circuit.
The polypropylene construction offers chemical resistance and low weight while maintaining dimensional stability and corrosion resistance compared to metal fittings. Female threaded connections provide secure, detachable joints compatible with standard 1/2" male threaded pipes and accessories. The three-way layout simplifies branching and reduces the need for additional adapters, supporting neat installation in confined spaces.
Select compatible male-threaded 1/2" components and ensure pipe ends are clean and free of debris. Threadseal tape or an appropriate joint sealant can be applied to the male threads to improve leak resistance before hand-tightening and final wrench adjustment; avoid over-torquing to prevent damage to the polymer threads. The 25 mm pipe should be connected according to the system's standard method for PP pipes; ensure alignment and support to avoid strain on the fitting once installed.
Use the fitting within the temperature and pressure limits appropriate for polypropylene plumbing components, and follow local plumbing codes for potable water installations. Verify compatibility of sealants and the mating components’ thread standards before assembly. Provide mechanical support for connected pipes to minimize stress on threaded joints.
