Description

The Alpenföhn Brocken 4 is a high-performance 220 W TDP air cooler with a 120 mm JetStream fan, matt black finish and a compact footprint (127 × 92 × 155 mm). It combines six 6 mm heat pipes, a nickel-plated copper base plate and a large asymmetric heatsink with an aerodynamically optimised fin design to move heat away from the CPU efficiently while maintaining low noise levels. The cooler is compatible with a wide range of sockets including Intel LGA 1700 / 1200 / 115x and AMD AM5 / AM4.

Advantages

Brocken 4 uses JetStream fans with an airflow-optimised impeller, a modified frame and next-generation bearings for smooth operation under load. The six high-end heat pipes are joined to the nickel-plated copper base plate over a large contact area for efficient heat transfer to the large-area heatsink. A matt black surface coating gives the heatsink a uniform appearance, while the asymmetric design preserves full RAM clearance and compatibility on supported sockets.

How to use

Install the included Rock Mount 3 mounting system according to the motherboard socket type. Secure the base plate to the CPU with an appropriate thermal paste, position the heatsink so that it clears RAM modules, and fasten it using the supplied brackets. Connect the 4‑pin fan cable to the CPU fan header to allow PWM control. If higher cooling performance is needed, mount an additional 120 mm fan on the opposite side using the supplied fan clamps and decoupling elements.

Usage recommendations

Use a compatible thermal paste and ensure the fan header supports PWM for automatic speed control; add a second fan only if your case layout and clearances permit it.
