The Alphacool Core Hurrican HardTube water cooling kit contains a complete set of components for building a high-performance custom liquid cooling loop. The kit includes the Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge CPU water block, an Eisbecher Aurora glass reservoir with Apex VPP pump, a NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 240mm radiator V.2, Rise Aurora 120mm PWM aRGB fans, PETG Eisrohr 16/13mm HardTube, Eiszapfen G1/4" fittings, thermal paste (Subzero) and 1 L Tec Protect 2 Clear coolant, plus cables, an aRGB controller, and assembly tools. All metal water-bearing parts use copper or brass to prioritise thermal performance, and the components are selected from Alphacool’s DIY program for compatibility and ease of assembly.

Advantages

The kit provides matched components that allow fast assembly of a reliable custom loop while maintaining high thermal conductivity through copper/brass construction in radiators, water blocks and fittings. The Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge uses a patented ramp and jet-plate design with 81 cooling fins on a 34 x 32 mm base to optimise CPU heat transfer and supports mainstream Intel and AMD sockets via included mounting hardware. The NexXxoS XT45 radiator is full copper for maximum heat dissipation. The glass Eisbecher Aurora reservoir adds durability and integrated 5V aRGB lighting, while the Apex VPP pump offers PWM speed control and SATA power. Rise Aurora fans provide a wide PWM control range up to 2500 rpm and built-in addressable aRGB illumination. PETG HardTubes (16/13 mm, 3 mm wall) give a clean, rigid appearance and are easy to bend and trim for custom layouts.

How to use

Plan the loop layout first, positioning the NexXxoS radiator, Eisbecher Aurora reservoir and pump, and routing the Eisrohr PETG hard tubing between components. Mount the Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge onto the CPU using the supplied bracket and apply the Subzero thermal paste according to normal CPU cooler procedures. Install the radiator and fans in the chosen case locations, secure the glass reservoir (feet or fan/radiator mounts), and attach the Apex VPP pump to the reservoir or preferred top. Fit the Eiszapfen fittings to each component, cut and chamfer the PETG tubing ends, and connect the tubes to fittings to complete the loop. Fill the loop with Tec Protect 2 Clear, bleed air via the fill/vent port, and verify no leaks. Connect pump power (SATA), PWM fan headers, and the aRGB controller to configure lighting and pump/fan speed control.

Usage recommendations

When cutting PETG HardTube, chamfer and deburr each end with the included deburrer or a fine file to avoid sharp edges that can damage O-rings; run an initial leak test with the system powered off and pump running, then monitor temperatures and flow before first full-load use. Use the supplied Tec Protect 2 Clear coolant as-is—no additional additives are required.
