Alphacool 12995 is a compact water block designed for PC liquid cooling systems. Constructed from acetal, copper and nickel with a black finish, the 130×56×22.5 mm block provides a solid thermal interface between a heat-generating component and the coolant. Supplied as a single unit in a box, this water block is intended to be integrated into custom loop cooling setups where direct heat transfer to the coolant is required.
The combination of acetal, copper and nickel offers a balance of thermal conductivity, mechanical stability and corrosion resistance. The black finish prevents visual inconsistencies in a custom loop and the compact dimensions allow installation in smaller or tightly packed cases. As a dedicated water block, it enables direct coolant contact through its cold plate area for efficient heat extraction from the cooled component.
Install the water block into a custom loop according to the cooling system layout and the component mounting requirements. Ensure mating surfaces are clean and use appropriate thermal interface material between the component and the block’s cold plate. Secure the block with compatible mounting hardware and connect inlet and outlet tubing to the block’s ports following your loop’s flow direction. Pressure-test the loop with non-powered components to verify there are no leaks before switching on the PC.
Use corrosion-inhibiting coolant when combining different metals in a loop, maintain regular coolant changes and checks, and verify compatibility with your mounting bracket and tubing dimensions to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
