The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX-N Acrylic Active Backplate for GeForce RTX 3080/3090 is an add-on component designed to extend active water cooling to the back side of compatible Alphacool Eisblock Aurora acrylic GPX-N GPU water blocks. Made from nickel-plated copper, the backplate improves overall heat dissipation for the graphics card and works only with specified GPX-N custom water coolers (check compatibility before purchase).

Advantages

The active backplate enables direct water-cooling of the GPU rear surface, increasing cooling performance compared with passive or air-cooled backplates. Its nickel-plated copper construction offers effective thermal conduction and corrosion resistance. Integrated addressable digital RGB lighting along the sides provides uniform illumination of the block and connects via a 3-pin JST Digital aRGB connector for motherboard or controller control. Two mounting/connection variants allow flexible integration into existing water loops.

Select the connection variant that suits your loop layout. For Variant 1, install the backplate using the G1/4" ports on top and connect with appropriate G1/4" fittings and tubing. For Variant 2, connect 5/3mm tubing to the side ports and integrate the backplate into the loop using Alphacool's MCX 2x manifold (item 1022250) where space is limited. Ensure the backplate is used only with compatible Eisblock Aurora GPX-N acrylic or ES acetal GPX-N GPU water coolers and not with Eiswolf 2 AIO units. Verify sealing and bleed the loop according to your usual watercooling procedure before operation.
