Thermal grease Alphacool 13096 17 W/m·K 20 g
Alphacool 13096 thermal grease is a high-conductivity thermal interface compound formulated to improve heat transfer between heat-generating components and cooling solutions. With a thermal conductivity of 17 W/m·K and a density of 3.2 g/cm³, this 20 g syringe-style paste is intended for use where improved thermal coupling is required to maintain stable operating temperatures in electronics and computing systems.
This thermal grease provides a combination of high thermal conductivity and stable consistency to reduce thermal resistance at the interface between processors, chipsets, power transistors, or other hot components and heatsinks or cold plates. The 17 W/m·K rating supports efficient heat flow, while the compound's density supports even application and minimal settling over time. The 20 g quantity is suitable for multiple applications or repeated re-application during maintenance.
Before applying the thermal grease, ensure both mating surfaces are clean and free of old compound, dust, and oils; use isopropyl alcohol or a manufacturer-recommended cleaner and allow surfaces to dry. Apply a small, even amount of the compound to the center of the heat-generating component or follow the equipment manufacturer's recommended pattern. Mount the heatsink or cooler with even pressure to spread the paste into a thin, continuous layer. Avoid applying excessive amounts; a thin, uniform film provides the best thermal transfer. Re-apply during maintenance or when replacing cooling hardware.
Use in well-ventilated areas and follow any safety guidance from the equipment manufacturer. Store the thermal grease in a cool, dry place and reseal the syringe cap after use to maintain consistency. For critical applications, test thermal performance after installation and re-seat the cooler if temperatures remain higher than expected.
