Thermal pad Alphacool Apex 17.8 W/m·K 120x20x1 mm
The Alphacool Apex thermal pad is an ultra-soft, silicone-based thermal interface material designed for efficient heat transfer in electronic devices. With a thermal conductivity of 17.8 W/m·K and dimensions of 120 x 20 x 1 mm, the pad combines low hardness, natural tackiness and high compressibility to adapt to surface irregularities and improve contact between components for more effective cooling.
The Apex thermal pad offers high thermal conductivity and excellent compressibility, which allows it to fill gaps and compensate uneven surfaces. Its silicone-based formulation reduces the risk of silicone bleeding and supports longer reliable operation without notable performance degradation. The pad is electrically insulating and suitable for use where safe isolation of components is required.
Clean contact surfaces from dust, grease and old thermal materials before application. Cut the Apex pad to the required size if necessary, remove protective film(s) and place it between the heat-generating component and the heatsink or cooling plate, ensuring full surface contact. Apply even mechanical pressure to achieve proper compression and conformal contact; avoid stretching the pad. For best results, verify that the pad thickness matches the required gap to ensure consistent thermal transfer.
Use the pad in applications where electrical insulation and high thermal conductivity are required. Avoid exposing the pad to solvents or sharp objects. For long-term reliability, check contact pressure and replace the pad if mechanical damage or significant compression set is observed.
