Description

The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water block and backplate are designed for efficient cooling of GeForce RTX 4XXX series graphics cards. The latest generation improves on the previous model with an optimized fin structure and a revised jet plate to increase cooling surface and improve water distribution over the fins. The cooler is supplied with thermal compound and thermal pads suitable for GPU core, VRAM and VRM cooling.

Advantages

The fin thickness and spacing (0.4 mm each) were developed in cooperation with NVIDIA board partners to provide increased cooling surface while maintaining good water flow. A modified jet plate ensures more even water pressure distribution across the fins and a better inflow angle for improved heat absorption. The block is manufactured from chrome-plated copper, which offers greater hardness and scratch resistance compared to nickel plating and produces a more homogeneous, reflective finish. Included high-performance thermal paste and conductive thermal pads support effective heat transfer to the water block.

How to use

Mount the water block and backplate to a compatible GeForce RTX 4XXX PCB following the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Apply the supplied thermal compound to the GPU core and position the thermal pads on the memory and voltage regulator areas as shown in the assembly guide. Secure the block with the provided screws and connect the water block to your cooling loop. Attach the 3-pin JST RGB connector to a compatible 5V addressable RGB header for lighting control. Verify leak-tightness before powering the system.

Usage recommendations

Use the included electrically non-conductive thermal paste and specified thermal pad thicknesses for correct contact pressure and optimal heat transfer.
