The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water block and backplate (Acrylic Copper Black, dimensions 285.5 × 144.5 × 34.2 mm) is developed for Radeon RX 7XXX graphics cards to provide improved liquid cooling compared with the previous generation. The cooler combines a revised fin structure, an optimized jet plate and a chrome-plated copper housing to increase heat transfer, improve coolant flow and offer a uniform illuminated appearance when used with digitally addressable RGB LEDs. The package includes a matching backplate and high-performance thermal interface materials for GPUs, memory and VRM.

Advantages

The fin structure, created in collaboration with AMD board partners, uses 0.4 mm thick fins spaced 0.4 mm apart to enlarge cooling surface area while maintaining effective water flow. A modified jet plate evens out water distribution and provides an improved angle of inflow for better heat absorption. The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper, which is harder and more scratch- and acid-resistant than nickel plating and produces a homogeneous shine that improves RGB light diffusion. Included thermal materials—Alphacool Subzero paste (16 W/mK) and soft pads—are specified for high conductivity and reliable contact on GPU, memory and PCB back areas.
