Water block Alphacool Aurora Transparent Acrylic Copper 120.5x252.1x34.9mm
The Alphacool Aurora transparent acrylic and chrome-plated copper water block is designed for Radeon RX 7XXX series graphics cards and measures 120.5 x 252.1 x 34.9 mm. It combines a refined fin structure, a revised jet plate and chrome-plated copper construction to improve heat transfer and visual appearance while fitting into custom liquid cooling loops.
The optimized fin geometry (0.4 mm fin thickness and 0.4 mm spacing) increases cooling surface and maintains a strong, even water flow. The redesigned jet plate distributes coolant pressure more uniformly across the fins and improves the angle of water inflow for better heat absorption. Chrome-plated copper construction increases surface durability compared with nickel plating, reduces sensitivity to scratches and corrosion, and enhances uniform reflectivity for more even RGB illumination. High-performance thermal compound (Alphacool Subzero, 16 W/mK) and dedicated thermal pads for VRM, memory and PCB back provide improved thermal contact.
Install the water block on the compatible Radeon RX 7XXX PCB following the motherboard and GPU manufacturer instructions for PCB cooling blocks. Apply the supplied Alphacool Subzero thermal compound where indicated and place the supplied thermal pads on the voltage regulators, memory chips and PCB back as needed. Connect the block to your custom loop using appropriate G1/4 fittings and ensure correct flow direction and secure sealing of O-rings. Power and configure the digitally addressable RGB through your existing controller or motherboard header according to the block’s wiring instructions.
Use only compatible fittings and check compatibility with your specific RX 7XXX PCB layout before installation. Rinse and pressure-test your loop for leaks before powering the system. For long-term reliability, avoid aggressive coolant additives and follow regular maintenance intervals for the loop.
