The Alphacool 29140 Transparent O-ring is a pair of replacement sealing rings designed for use with the Alphacool Eisblock XPX CPU watercooler. These transparent O-rings sit around the inlet and outlet fittings and seal the joint between the cooler lid and the lower housing, maintaining a leak-free connection in liquid cooling loops. The clear material is visually compatible with acrylic or transparent cooler tops where the seal is visible.
These O-rings provide a reliable watertight seal to prevent coolant leakage and preserve system integrity. Their transparent appearance allows for an unobtrusive installation in clear-top coolers, helping to maintain a clean visual aesthetic. Supplied as a pair, they make maintenance or replacement straightforward and ensure consistent sealing performance when correctly fitted.
Turn off and drain the cooling loop before removing the cooler lid. Remove the old O-rings from the inlet and outlet grooves, clean the mating surfaces and seating areas, then place the transparent O-rings into the corresponding grooves. Reassemble the cooler lid, ensuring even seating and torque of fasteners to avoid pinching or misalignment. Refill the loop and check for leaks at operating temperature.
Inspect O-rings during routine maintenance and replace if signs of hardening, cracking, or deformation appear. Use compatible coolant and avoid aggressive solvents or cleaners that might degrade the elastomer. When installing, avoid stretching the rings excessively and ensure they sit flat in their grooves for an effective seal.
