The AMD EPYC 9565 processor is a server-grade CPU in the 5th Gen EPYC family, offering 72 cores, 384 MB L3 cache and a base frequency of 3.15 GHz with boost up to 4.3 GHz. Designed for Socket SP5 systems, it supports dodeca-channel DDR5 memory with very high bandwidth (up to 576 GB/s) and is intended for data center, cloud and AI workloads that require high core density, memory throughput and energy-efficient performance.
The EPYC 9565 provides high integer and multi-threaded performance via AMD’s Zen 5 microarchitecture, large L3 cache and a wide memory interface that together improve per-server throughput. Its design enables higher virtual machine density and reduced rack footprint compared with many legacy platforms, lowering power consumption and total cost of ownership. The processor is also suitable as a host CPU for GPU-accelerated systems to maximize GPU utilization on selected AI inference and training tasks.
