Amio LED bulb 1157 BAY15D P21/5W 39 SMD 2016 CANbus white is a dual-filament LED replacement designed for automotive tail, brake and parking light circuits. The bulb uses 39 SMD LEDs in a 2016 package to deliver a bright white light while operating on significantly lower power than conventional incandescent P21/5W lamps. CANbus-compatible electronics reduce the risk of dashboard error messages on vehicles with resistance monitoring systems, making this lamp suitable for retrofit or direct replacement in compatible light sockets.
The bulb provides efficient LED illumination with low power consumption and long service life compared with traditional bulbs. CANbus compatibility helps prevent false error signals and hyperflash on many modern vehicles. The dual-contact BAY15D (1157/P21/5W) base preserves standard fitting and polarity options for easy installation without modification. Compact SMD 2016 LEDs enable uniform light output and a stable white color suitable for exterior signalling.
Ensure the vehicle is switched off and the relevant lamp circuit is accessible. Remove the existing P21/5W (1157/BAY15D) bulb by twisting and extracting from the socket according to the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. Fit the Amio LED bulb into the same socket, aligning the bayonet lugs and securing by a twist until locked. Reconnect power and verify that both filaments operate correctly for tail and brake functions. If the vehicle has polarity-sensitive sockets, try reversing the bulb orientation if one filament does not illuminate.
Verify compatibility with the vehicle's monitoring system and test all light functions after installation. If a lamp fault warning or hyperflash occurs, additional load resistors or an alternative CANbus solution may be required depending on the vehicle model. Avoid touching the LED elements directly during installation and ensure the socket and connector are clean and free of corrosion.
