Antenna amplifier AMS APL-103E — RTV antenna signal amplifier
Antenna amplifier AMS APL-103E — RTV antenna signal amplifier
AMS APL-103E is an inline antenna amplifier engineered to improve RTV antenna signal reception for terrestrial TV and FM broadcasts. It is designed to be installed between a rooftop or indoor antenna and the receiving equipment to raise weak signal levels, helping to reduce pixelation and audio dropouts. The compact design allows fitting close to the antenna feed or near an entry point where the antenna cable meets the building.
The amplifier increases signal strength for both VHF/UHF television and FM radio bands, providing a more consistent reception when signals are marginal. Its inline form factor simplifies installation without the need for additional power cabinets at the antenna mast. The device is built to operate with common coaxial cables and integrates with typical home and small installation setups.
Install the AMS APL-103E inline on the coaxial cable between the antenna and the receiver or splitter. Place the amplifier as close to the antenna feed point as practical to amplify the signal before cable losses occur. Ensure connectors are tightened and weatherproofed if the unit is placed outdoors. If reception does not improve or if overload occurs in areas with very strong signals, consider relocating the amplifier or using an attenuator.
For best results, mount the amplifier near the antenna and use quality 75 Ω coaxial cable with proper shielding. Avoid placing the amplifier where it may be exposed to constant moisture unless additional weatherproofing is applied. In multi-room distributions, verify signal levels at each receiver and adjust placement to prevent over-amplification or signal distortion.
