Indoor TV Antenna Amplifier AMS AWS-144M with Power Supply
Indoor TV Antenna Amplifier AMS AWS-144M with Power Supply
The AMS AWS-144M indoor TV antenna amplifier with integrated power supply is designed to improve reception of terrestrial digital and analog broadcasts in apartments and houses. It boosts weak signals received by an indoor antenna and supplies a stable feed to a TV or set-top box, helping to reduce signal loss across coaxial cable runs and improve picture and sound stability where over-the-air signal levels are low.
The AMS AWS-144M combines an RF amplifier and built-in power supply in a compact housing suitable for indoor installation. It provides uniform gain across relevant VHF and UHF frequencies to enhance tuners' ability to lock onto channels. The integrated power supply eliminates the need for a separate external power injector, simplifying installation and reducing visible cables. Its design minimizes additional noise contribution while improving signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver end.
Install the AMS AWS-144M close to the indoor antenna or in a location between the antenna and the TV where the coaxial run can be kept intact. Connect the antenna cable to the amplifier input and the amplifier output to the TV or set-top box using standard coaxial cable. Connect mains power to the amplifier's integrated power supply according to the included instructions. After powering on, perform a channel scan on the TV or set-top box to allow tuners to relock to available channels. If reception does not improve, try repositioning the indoor antenna or relocating the amplifier along the coaxial run to find the best signal level.
For optimal performance, use good-quality coaxial cable and keep cable lengths as short as practical. Avoid placing the amplifier near strong sources of electromagnetic interference. If multiple receivers or long cable splits are present, consider combining the AMS AWS-144M with an appropriate distribution amplifier or consult a technician to ensure signal levels remain within the acceptable range for connected devices.
