Spring Steel Sheet AnyCubic for Kobra3/Combo with PEI Flexible Surface
Replacement spring steel print sheet from AnyCubic designed for Kobra3 and Combo 3D printers. The sheet combines a flexible spring steel base with a PEI-coated surface to provide consistent first-layer adhesion for common filaments and to simplify part removal by flexing the sheet. It is manufactured to match the original bed mounting method, suitable for magnetic or clip attachment as used on the specified printer models.
The PEI coating offers reliable adhesion for PLA, PETG and ABS-grade filaments without additional adhesives under typical printing conditions. The spring steel substrate allows the build plate to be flexed so completed parts detach easily, reducing the need for scrapers and minimizing surface damage. The surface resists scratching and chemical residue under normal use and maintains a uniform texture to promote even first-layer spreading and reduce warping of prints.
Install the spring steel sheet onto the printer bed following the original bed mounting method: align the sheet to the magnetic base or clips, then press into place so the sheet is held flat and secure. Level the printer bed according to standard leveling procedures for your Kobra3 or Combo printer, taking care to set the nozzle height for optimal first-layer thickness on the PEI surface. After a print is completed and the bed has cooled to a safe temperature, remove the sheet from the base (if using a removable magnetic mount) or flex the sheet in place to detach the part. Clean the surface as needed with isopropyl alcohol to remove oils or residues before printing.
Preheat the bed and nozzle to filament-recommended temperatures to maximize adhesion on the PEI surface. For best results, avoid applying strong adhesives or sanding the PEI coating; instead, use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning and a light skirt or brim to improve first-layer stability for small or delicate parts.
