UPS APC Back-UPS PRO BR900MI 900VA 6x C13 output USB
The APC Back-UPS PRO BR900MI is a line-interactive UPS with a 900 VA / 540 W capacity that provides emergency power to connected equipment such as a PC, NAS, router, modem and media box. The unit includes USB connectivity for automatic, orderly shutdown of a NAS or PC when battery capacity becomes low. The UPS also offers surge and lightning protection for both power and network connections and features an LCD for easy monitoring.
The BR900MI combines automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to correct low and high voltages without using battery power, and a Green mode for improved efficiency and reduced operating costs. It provides six battery‑plus‑surge protected C13 outlets, a sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) replaceable battery cartridge (APCRBC164), and an equipment protection policy up to €150,000. The unit ships with PowerChute Serial Shutdown software and a USB cable, and the factory warranty of three years can be extended with an APC service pack.
Connect your PC, NAS, router and other devices to the C13 outlets on the back of the UPS. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the UPS to a computer where PowerChute Serial Shutdown software is installed to enable automatic, orderly shutdown when battery runtime is low. The LCD screen displays status and alerts; follow on‑screen messages for battery condition and load information. Replace the internal battery cartridge (APCRBC164) when the UPS indicates reduced runtime; the cartridge is user‑replaceable and can be changed without powering off the connected equipment.
Place the UPS in a well‑ventilated area away from direct heat and moisture. Regularly monitor battery status via the LCD and perform battery replacement according to APC guidelines to maintain protection. For important systems, enable PowerChute shutdown and test the setup periodically to ensure orderly shutdown in case of extended power loss.
