Power distribution unit APC AP7922B — 16 C13 outlets, Metered & Switched PDU, 2U, 200–230 V, 32 A, 3.05 m cable, Black
APC AP7922B is a 2U rack-mounted power distribution unit (PDU) that combines metered monitoring with switched outlet control to simplify power management in data center racks and equipment cabinets. The unit provides sixteen C13 outlets fed from an IEC 309 input and includes a 3.05 m fixed power cable. Designed for nominal input of 200–230 V and a maximum current of 32 A at 50–60 Hz, the PDU delivers local current readout, remote network management and individual outlet switching for controlled power sequencing and remote reboot of connected devices.
The AP7922B offers integrated current, power and voltage monitoring and configurable alarm thresholds to help prevent overloaded circuits. Individual outlet lock-out and remote outlet control enable administrators to turn off unused equipment or recycle power to hung devices without physical access. Flash-upgradeable firmware and standard network interfaces such as Web, SNMP and Telnet support centralized management, and the unit’s rack-mount form factor with a single branch power input simplifies installation in standard 2U rack spaces.
Install the AP7922B into a standard 19-inch rack occupying 2U of vertical space and connect the IEC309 inlet to an appropriate powered circuit rated for 32 A and 200–230 V. Use the local digital display to observe aggregate current draw during deployment and define alarm thresholds to receive visual or networked alerts before overload conditions occur. Configure network settings via the Web, SNMP, or Telnet interface to enable remote monitoring, firmware upgrades and outlet-level control. Use the outlet sequencing and power delays to establish safe power-on and power-off order for dependent equipment.
Define alarm thresholds and enable local and network notifications during initial setup, and schedule firmware updates through the network interface to maintain security and access to new features. Use remote individual outlet control for troubleshooting and to avoid unnecessary travel to remote racks. When populating the PDU, balance loads across outlets and verify the aggregate current does not exceed the rated 32 A capacity to prevent tripping or overload conditions.
