Power cable APC AP8702S-NA 0.61 m C13 C14 10 A
The APC AP8702S-NA is a 0.61 m black power cable with IEC C13 and C14 couplers designed for reliable connections between rack-mount power distribution units (PDUs) and IT equipment. It supports an input current of 10 A and features a cord retention method that secures power cords when used with compatible APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs or IT equipment with built-in locking receptacles. The cable fits standard IEC receptacles and in non-locking applications functions as a conventional C13–C14 power lead.
This power cable combines compact length with a locking-capable connector design to reduce accidental disconnections in rack environments. Its black jacket provides a discreet appearance in server rooms and cabinets, while the 10 A rating covers a wide range of small-to-medium IT devices. The cord retention feature, when paired with compatible locking receptacles, helps maintain secure connections under load and minimizes cable strain on in-line connectors.
Route the APC AP8702S-NA cable between the PDU and the IT device so that connectors align with the corresponding IEC inlets. Insert the C14 male connector into the PDU or upstream power source and the C13 female connector into the device input. If using APC AP8000 series Rack PDUs or devices with locking receptacles, engage the locking mechanism according to the PDU or device instructions to secure the connection. Avoid sharp bends and ensure the cable is not pinched by cabinet doors or panels.
Use this cable for short power runs inside cabinets and racks. Verify that both the PDU and the connected equipment accept a 10 A-rated lead and that locking receptacles are present if you intend to use the cord retention feature. Regularly inspect the cable and connectors for wear or damage and replace if any deterioration is found.
