APC NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced Metered and Switched 0U Single-Phase Power Distribution Unit with 40 Outlets and NEMA L6-30P Plug
The APC NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced is a high-performance, single-phase power distribution unit engineered for demanding data center and high-density server environments. Featuring 40 versatile 4-in-1 combination outlets, this 0U PDU provides exceptional flexibility by supporting C13, C15, C19, and C21 connections in a single compact form factor. Equipped with a NEMA L6-30P input plug, it delivers reliable power management with advanced metering and switching capabilities, allowing for precise remote control and monitoring of your IT infrastructure.
This PDU offers unparalleled deployment flexibility through its 4-in-1 outlet design, which adapts to various power cord types, reducing the need for hardware replacements during IT refreshes. The unit features 1% metering accuracy, ensuring precise data for capacity planning and billing purposes. Reliability is enhanced by a 60°C operating temperature rating, making it suitable for hot-aisle containment environments. Maintenance is simplified with a Live Swap Network Management Card, allowing for component replacement without interrupting power to connected devices. Furthermore, the power sharing feature and dual ethernet ports enable network cascading and redundancy, ensuring that management interfaces remain active even during power loss events.
This unit may not be suitable for low-density environments where the high outlet count and advanced management features exceed the requirements of the infrastructure. Additionally, it is designed specifically for single-phase 208V power systems and will not function in environments requiring three-phase power distribution.
Installation is designed for efficiency using the pre-installed toolless mounting pegs, which fit directly into the rear accessory channels of standard server cabinets. Once mounted, connect the PDU to your power source and utilize the dual ethernet ports to integrate the unit into your network management system. Configuration can be performed locally via the integrated color LCD display or remotely through the web-based management interface, where you can set thresholds, monitor power consumption, and manage individual outlet states.
For optimal performance and safety, ensure that the total load does not exceed the rated capacity of the PDU. It is recommended to utilize the environmental sensor ports to monitor rack conditions and to keep the firmware updated via the network interface to ensure access to the latest security patches and management features.
