Uninterruptible Power Supply APC BV650I
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) provides steady power by automatically stepping up low voltage and stepping down high voltage to levels suitable for connected equipment. The unit includes battery backup and surge-protected outlets to maintain runtime for network gateway devices and other low-power electronics during outages, while transformer-spaced outlets accommodate bulky plugs. Wall-mount holes and a slim design allow upright, flat, or wall-mounted placement to fit tight spaces and different setups. Additional features include cold-start capability, audible alarms, and LED indicators for clear status information.
AVR corrects voltage fluctuations without discharging the battery, prolonging battery life and maximizing runtime. Intelligent battery management and battery failure notification support reliable performance and timely maintenance. Advanced safety features protect against overloads, short circuits, excessive mains voltage and low-voltage battery damage. The combination of battery backup and surge protection safeguards hardware and data during power interruptions and spikes. Safety-agency approval confirms the unit meets required safety standards.
Position the unit upright, flat, or mount it on a wall using the provided wall-mount holes to suit your available space. Connect essential low-power equipment and network gateway devices to the battery backup and surge-protected outlets; use remaining outlets for non-critical loads. Ensure large transformer plugs are placed in the spaced outlets to avoid blocking adjacent receptacles. Keep the unit connected to mains power to maintain battery charge; use the cold-start function only when utility power is unavailable. Monitor LED indicators and listen for audible alarms to respond to power-condition changes, and follow battery failure notifications to schedule preventive maintenance.
Place the UPS in a ventilated area, avoid stacking items on top, and perform periodic battery checks. For critical network equipment, test runtime during planned maintenance to confirm expected backup duration and replace batteries per manufacturer guidelines when notified of failure or significant capacity loss.
