Rack-mounted Switched PDU APC EPDU2116S 16A, 20x C13 outlets
APC EPDU2116S is a rack-mounted switched PDU designed to deliver reliable power distribution for data center racks and IT cabinets. The unit provides twenty IEC C13 outlets rated collectively for 16A, enabling centralized power delivery to servers, switches and other rack equipment. Remote control and monitoring features allow individual outlet switching, scheduled power cycling and basic load management to support maintenance and availability requirements.
The switched PDU supports remote outlet control and monitoring over the network, enabling targeted rebooting of hung devices without physical access to the rack. With twenty C13 outlets distributed along a rack-friendly form factor, the unit simplifies cable management and reduces the need for additional power strips. Built-in load-awareness and outlet-level control help maintain uptime and support scheduled maintenance without interrupting unaffected equipment.
Install the PDU into a standard 19-inch rack using the provided mounting hardware and connect the input power feed according to your rack power distribution plan. Connect downstream devices to the C13 outlets, taking care to balance loads across the unit to avoid exceeding the 16A rating. Access the device management interface over the network to configure outlet names, set schedules for automatic power cycling and perform remote on/off operations as needed for maintenance or recovery of individual devices.
Ensure the total connected load does not exceed the rated 16A and distribute high-current devices across multiple PDUs if necessary. Use the outlet-level control feature for safe remote reboots of targeted equipment and configure authentication and network security for the management interface to prevent unauthorized access.
