The APC Galaxy VS 30 kVA is a compact, high-efficiency, double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed for edge sites, small and medium data centers, and critical commercial or industrial infrastructure. This 400 V, 3-phase UPS delivers 30 kVA / 30 kW output power, supports up to four modular high-capacity battery strings (batteries not included) and includes a 5x8 start-up service. Its tower form factor with full front access and embedded network management enables easy installation, monitoring and serviceability in confined spaces.

Advantages

The UPS provides consistently high power quality with high efficiency in double-conversion mode and an ECOnversion mode for ultra-high efficiency while charging batteries. A flexible DC bus supports VRLA, Li-ion and NiCd batteries and the system is compatible with Schneider Electric’s lithium-ion battery solution to reduce footprint, weight, cooling and maintenance demands. Built-in backfeed protection prevents energy from being returned to the grid. The UPS is both parallel-redundant and parallel-capacity capable to increase availability or total power. Front-access servicing, modular design with field-replaceable modules and an embedded network management card simplify maintenance and remote monitoring via EcoStruxure IT, Web, SNMP or Modbus.

How to use

Install the UPS in a suitable indoor location with adequate ventilation and front access. Configure the UPS through the onboard LCD or remotely via the embedded network card and EcoStruxure IT. Select and install the appropriate battery strings (up to four) to meet required runtime; this unit is shipped without batteries to allow customized runtime sizing. For parallel-redundant or parallel-capacity setups, follow the manufacturer’s instructions to configure parallel operation. Use ECOnversion or double-conversion mode based on desired balance of efficiency and power conditioning.

Usage recommendations

Use certified Schneider Electric battery solutions where possible, perform regular maintenance and monitoring via EcoStruxure IT, and plan battery sizing and service contracts to match your availability requirements. Start-up service included (5x8) should be scheduled at installation to verify configuration and operation.
