The solution supports centralized inventory, multi-vendor device monitoring, automated discovery and updates, and offers unified access from browsers and mobile devices. It includes encrypted communications, event notifications, remote monitoring, and tools for assessment and benchmarking to help maintain uptime and reduce time to repair.

The platform uses 2048-bit RSA certificates and 256-bit AES encryption for data in transit and connects via outbound Port 443 to specified EcoStruxure IT cloud addresses. Enable auto-discovery to detect manageable devices, group devices by geography or location, and set up custom reports and dashboards for ongoing monitoring and analysis.

Usage recommendations

Place monitoring gateways on an isolated network segment when possible to minimize public IP usage, keep automatic updates enabled to ensure the latest security and feature updates, and configure alarm consolidation and thresholds to reduce false positives and improve mean time to repair.
