Description

Stay always online and prevent data loss with the APC Smart-UPS SMC1500IC. The UPS supplies emergency power instantly when mains power fails, protecting connected equipment such as PCs, servers and network switches. With the free APC PowerChute Business Edition software you can configure an automatic, controlled shutdown of critical hardware when the UPS battery is nearly depleted. The unit also protects against voltage peaks and provides pure sine wave output suitable for systems with active PFC power supplies.

Advantages

SmartConnect enables out-of-box remote monitoring via a secure cloud portal (free 6-month trial) and integration with EcoStruxure IT Expert. The UPS features an intuitive LCD and physical buttons for local configuration, over 15 programmable settings including switched outlet group control, and smart battery management with hot-swappable internal battery cartridge (RBC6) for easy user replacement without powering down connected equipment. The SMC1500IC delivers network-grade power conditioning, automatic voltage regulation, and high efficiency operating modes to reduce operating costs. How to use

Install the SMC1500IC near the equipment to be protected and connect devices to the UPS output sockets. Connect the UPS to a server or management station via USB (for PowerChute shutdown) and optionally to the network using the SmartConnect Ethernet port for remote monitoring. Use the LCD and navigation keys to view runtime, configure thresholds and programmable settings. Replace the internal RBC6 battery cartridge when indicated by the battery replacement date indicator; the module is hot-swappable so replacement can be performed without shutting down connected equipment.
