APC Smart-UPS SMX1000I is a 1000VA line-interactive 2U rack/tower UPS designed to keep IT equipment online during power interruptions. It supplies pure sine wave emergency power to connected devices, features an LCD for easy operation, offers replaceable internal battery cartridge (APCRBC116), and supports optional network management via an APC Network Management Card (AP9640/AP9641). The unit includes IEC 320 C14 input, eight IEC 320 C13 outlets, two IEC jumper cables, tower feet and front-rack brackets for 2U mounting. Switched outlet groups allow phased start-up, remote reboot and selective shutdown to extend runtime for critical loads.

Surge and spike protection guard equipment against lightning and peak voltages. How to use

Install the UPS in a rack (2U) using supplied front brackets or place it upright using the tower feet. Connect the UPS input to mains via the IEC 320 C14 connector and plug equipment into the eight IEC C13 outlets; use the supplied jumper cables if needed. Configure the LCD to monitor load, battery and runtime status. For remote management and automated shutdown, install the optional APC Network Management Card into the SmartSlot and deploy APC PowerChute or EcoStruxure IT. If required, add an external battery pack (SMX48RMBP2U) to increase runtime. Replace the internal battery cartridge (APCRBC116) when indicated by the UPS without powering down connected devices.
